Have you ever wanted to try kayaking? Now's your chance!
Join Platte County Parks for a FREE introductory kayaking experience. Whether you're brand new to paddling or already enjoy being on the water, everyone is welcome.
What to Expect
50-minute paddle on the lake
Basic instruction on paddling techniques, kayak safety, and equipment
Volunteers available to assist throughout the event
Four sessions with a maximum of 24 participants per session
What's Provided
Kayak
Paddle
Adult life jacket (PFD)
You're also welcome to bring your own kayak. If you do, please remember to bring your paddle and life jacket.

Water-friendly clothing
Shoes that can get wet

Children
This event is open to all ages. Children under 8 years old must provide their own properly fitting life jacket.
