🎣 Free Fishing Clinic – Platte Ridge Park
Cast a line and reel in some fun!
Platte County Parks & Recreation and the Missouri Department of Conservation host a Free Fishing Clinic at the Platte Ridge Park pond on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10 AM – Noon.
MDC will provide poles, hooks, and bobbers, while Platte County Parks supplies the bait. Bring your own gear if you prefer and stay as long as the fish are biting! No fishing permit is required during Missouri’s Free Fishing Weekend (June 6 & 7).
Come out, ask questions, learn a few tips, and enjoy a relaxing morning by the water — it’s the perfect chance to try fishing for the first time or get back into the sport.
