Float on the Platte River-Tentative date set in September
This event depends on mother nature, whether water levels are too high or too low.
Join Platte County Parks for a FLOAT ON THE PLATTE RIVER float:
The Duck's Head: Platte Falls Conservation Area. This is a unique 2.5 mile float features the launch and take out access points in the same parking lot! No Shuttles! This usually takes about 1 hour.
- Bring your own boat
- Don't forget your paddle, water and life preserver.
- Kayaks, Canoes, or SUPs welcome!
- Limited Rentals available-Please indicate in registration if you need a rental
Please wear water friendly clothes and shoes. Bring snacks and water if needed.
This trip is for 14 years and older! Everyone must wear life jackets the entire time while on the Platte River.
Duck’s Head Directions (Platte Falls Conservation Area):
Exit 19 off I-29, Turn East on HH Hwy, Turn North on Knighton Avenue in front of Wearhouse and More and Platte County Readi Mix, Keep following gravel road all the way back to the Duck’s Head Parking Lot (Platte Falls Conservation area).
